“B.C.” MUSIC VIDEo
ORIE MCGINNESS & ENLIGHTEN CREATIVE STUDIO
Cinematic, filmic, old school vintage style footage. Heavily desaturated, slow, minimal camera moves (Most shots will be on tripod and add a fake dolly in/zoom effect later in post)
Characters to portray:
- Matthew Honeycutt (Similar look to how he was in The Hammer)
- 7-10 Primal/Tribal humans
*There is no story behind the footage that is shown*
We see a multitude of shots showcasing various primal/tribal looking silhouetted humans dancing around a large wood fire. Shots will be all in slow motion with some zooms added in post. These scenes will establish the setting of a time before civilization when humans lived in the wilderness.
Other b-roll will display pages from various religious texts which will highlight how war & suffering from religion has affected humanity. Many different infamous religious events/battles will be shown in these shots.
Matt will be singing the track in a black room with background covered in flames. Matt will appear dirty/dusty to emulate the tribal/primal look. Post-production effects will be used to add fire into the shots to match with bonfire b-roll scenes.
Colors to use:
Shots will be lit & colored by the bonfire lights. Oranges & Reds will illuminate each shot. Matt's vocal shots will feature slightly warm studio lights backlit by flames.
Mostly slow motion footage is used. Camera is on a tripod 80-90% of the time. Long cuts (1-5seconds each)
*Reminder that there is no plot to this, and all of these scenes will be cut in sporadically throughout the video*
